The upheaval of social unrest–dubbed inappropriately by Media and the US Government as “Arab Spring”–has traversed the world and gone viral! From Tahir Square in Egypt to the State House in Madison, WI, petrol strikes in South Africa to the streets of Athens Greece, protest is on the menu.
When millions of dissatisfied citizens took to the streets all over the Middle East, Americans received the news in the usual fashion…it’s the Middle East, peace has never reigned there. We applauded their desire for democratic freedom”, their determination to effect change. Our own government issued fatwas against the Presidents of North African countrie, boldly announcing which world leaders had lost their legitimacy to rule.
Western governments have failed to connect the dots of unrest on a global scale, and misinterpreted the intensity for the entire world’s desire for true change. It is so powerful that the ideology and mantra of “change” resulted in the United States of America electing its first black President. They are not even aware that the entire planet is on the brink of staging a global revolution.
As reported by Reuters, “protesters have paralyzed Taiz”, Yemen’s 3rd largest city, in their sixth month of mass demonstrations. In Australia, truck drivers are vehemently protesting high fuel costs, and asylum seekers are staging rooftop protests, demanding better treatment. Europe is concerned about the financial crisis in Greece triggering problems in the larger economies of Spain, Portugal and Ireland. While Vietnam has had to forcibly break up anti-China protests; Pacific Island leaders are being urged to protest U.S. missle tests; the people of Dublin, Ireland protest the EU-IMF bailout; the citizens of Santa Barbara, CA hold anti-American protests; and Pakistanis protest US meddling. Syria, Bahrain, Tunisia, and even South American citizens are rising up against their inadequate governments.
The people of the planet earth are appalled at the land grab in Africa and the obscene wire-tapping scandal used by Rupert Murdoch’s right-wing Media empire. America, where unemployment is back on the rise, boasts the most ineffective Congress in recent history, and is on the brink of defaulting on its international loans. The people are fed up! Governments are being forced to listen to the people now. Failure to do so may result in removal.
We encourage the citizens of the world to take to the streets, the internet and the airwaves to voice your dissatisfaction with corporate rule. Standing together in solidarity for the people is the only way to usher in the real “New World Order”! Peace.
